The theme of the FESSH Congress in Basel 2026 explores the complex interplay of structures required for a balanced optimal hand function. Skeletal stability, joint congruency and harmony between intrinsic and extrinsic ligaments and muscles all contribute to balance. Innervation, vascularity, and central nervous control regulate and maintain these functions. The prerequisite to contribute to this congress with an abstract is by focusing on the significance of balance in hand function. We invite you to consider the "balance" in any form in your abstract and your presentation.

We invite all colleagues to submit abstracts for the upcoming FESSH-EFSHT congress. This is an opportunity to share your latest findings, innovative approaches, and impactful case studies with a diverse and engaged audience. Join us in advancing the field and contributing to the collective knowledge and future directions of hand surgery!

For compliance reasons, brand names are not allowed in the title. Any submissions containing brand names will be edited without prior notice.

Swiss Session at the FESSH Congress 2026

The Swiss Society for Hand Surgery (SGH) will offer its residents and trainees a dedicated session within the FESSH Congress 2026.

These short presentations are an important step toward obtaining the specialist title and are usually held in the "gong show" format at the SGH Annual Meeting.

Since there will be no separate SGH Annual Meeting in 2026 due to the FESSH Congress, we would nevertheless like to give our young colleagues the opportunity to present their work.

When submitting your abstract, please select "Swiss Session" track.

We look forward to many exciting contributions!
